Components disappear when dragged to workspace

I am running LoadUI 1.5.0 in Windows Server 2003 with Java 6 installed. Whenever I drag a component, such as runner, etc., to the workspace in Project view, it immediately disappears. I cannot see a way to copy or export the logs but they indicate the component is dropped, then list "creating component from descriptor..." Can you advise what might cause this or what additional information you will need?

loadUI-2.1.0 displays the same erratic ui behaviour for me, though not all the time. Restarting the app and sometimes my desktop is needed for the ui to function correctly again. The statistics workbench also often doesn't open.

Just drag-to-select all the workspace if this happens (or create another component). Then the component will appear. The next major release of loadUI won't have this problem.

I have never heard of this happening for the Statistics Workbench though...
